Graduates will receive a degree from their own university as well as from the new programs, to be called Symbio Software Institutes. University staff members, assisted by Symbio employees and professors hired from the United States, will teach the courses in person at first. Long-term plans also call for courses to be taught over the Internet. <br />Dean Stevens, general manager of Symbio's American operations,<a href="http://www.orbto.com/business-process-outsourcing/" target="_blank" class="postlink">Business process outsourcing company</a>, said some professors would come from among retired Chinese academics in the United States who are interested in returning to China. <br />The programs will begin in September with several hundred students at both universities, Mr. Stevens said. He expected the number to grow to a total of 2,000 students within a few years.
