Use Garlic Oil for Frying
Using the oil in this way ensures that a subtle garlic flavour is achieved, especially when the tiny pieces of chopped garlic clove are not welcome in your recipe. Olive oil is not intended for deep frying, as it can smoke and burn too easily.
Drizzle enough garlic oil to lightly coat some frozen oven chips in a roasting tin. Give them a shake and cook as usual (around 200C for 20-25 minutes). They will have added crunch and an unmistakable flavour that is good with anything but particularly grilled steak! This method can also be used to make potato wedges.
This oil can also be used as a frying oil when a subtle garlic flavour is needed. Drizzle a tablespoon or so in a pan and use to fry onions or mince when making a Spaghetti Bolognese for example. It is worth remembering that olive oil is lower in saturated fat than other oils and this makes a healthier (and more tasty!) alternative to sunflower or vegetable oils.
