Temat postu: The World's Oldest Job Interview Question - and Ho
ll me about yourself."
It actually isn't a answer. It's an open-ended mandate. It's an icebreaker for either interviewer and interviewee.
To put it dissimilar way, imagine you're unattached, and imagine yourself at a cocktail gathering. And for you're mingling, you meet someone acceptable, and you mention, "Tell me about yourself."
And that human doesn't shut up for the afterward fifteen minutes. Does that sound like fun for you? Probably not. You're probably seeing to arrest the host's eye for a conversational run along minute 5, and mentally intersection off a menu of lame excuses to walk away by minute ten.
In other words, you've essentially stopped hearing and you feel trapped. Do you ambition your job interviewer to have the same experience with you?
When you rehearse your reply to this question - that is, while you practice or role activity with a friend, business coach, or adored one - here are a few tips for creating a magnificent answer:
1. Don't go for the pharynx.
Your resume got you in the gate,

, and you're going to be in the interviewee's chair for another 30-60 minutes. Relax. Don't try to acquaint the interviewer why you're the right one for the job in thabove all answer. No interviewer ever hears the answer to "Tell me about yourself" and says, "Stop the interview,

! The job is yours!"
2. Keep it high-level.
The executive synopsis of your resume has the salient points of your vocation direction concisely packaged. Drawing from that language (though not parroting it) reinforces your private marketing message, and connects the dots between you and the location you're seeking.
3. Keep it focused.
Don't talk about your early childhood unless it has a direct correlation apt why you're in the interviewee preside. And if it does have a straight correlation, obtain to the point rapid.
4. Keep it brief.
You'd be startled by how slow time shakes in an interview. In a conversational tone and style, perusing this treatise audible would take fewer than 3 minutes, and it's approximately 400 words. Three minutes namely always in one interview, principally at the start.
There's causative why "Tell me about yourself" is so usually used, and it's fair to get the conversational ball coiling. Keep your answer simple, high-level, focused aboard no more than 2-3 salient points, conversational, and about half as long as this article.
