Fossils Tell Triceratop's Life Story
The fossils regained at Hell Creek Formation, previously thought to belong to Torosaurus, have colossal frills with two large cavities that agree with places of the youth Triceratops' frills where the bone has thinned. This detection, in association with studies that analyzed the building, textures, and fashion of the fossils, led the scientists to conclude that the two dinosaurs were one.

A recent jolting finding in the field of paleontology suggests that Triceratops never really existed as a species of dinosaur in its own right, but prefer was the juvenile form of Torosaurus.
The research linking Triceratops to Torosaurus has been promulgated in the July 14, 2010 publish of The Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.

Scientists Find No Juvenile Torosaurus Fossils
The result of Scannella and Horner's findings lends credence to the theory that dinosaurs had become less diversified toward the end of their existence, which could be a contributing factor in their extinction.
In one excerpt from a Discovery News treatise by Jennifer Viegas, John Scanella states, "We must put together the story based on fossils. In order to obtain the complete article, you need to have a great sample of fossils from numerous individuals representing different growth stages." ("Triceratops and Torosaurus: Same Dinosaur" July 15, 2010,) Apparently, that's what researchers found at Hell Creek, where literally hundreds of the skeletal remains of dinosaurs have been waiting millions of years to differentiate their story.

Based largely upon fossils collected at Hell Creek Formation in Montana, scientists recently concluded that the species of dinosaur previously known as Triceratops was really fair a younger edition of the lesser-known Torosaurus. Paleontologists John Scannella and Jack Horner from the University of Montana are the 1st scientists honored with interlocking the two species of dinosaurs attach as creature one dinosaur in another life stages.
While there were numerous Triceratops fossils to be found by Hell Creek,

, they all seemed to be juveniles, until scientists assembled the puzzle and accomplished that instead of plenty young Triceratops fossils and a few mature Torosaurus fossils, what they had actually discovered was the life-cycle of one dinosaur.
Now namely two category of dinosaurs have chance 1, the answer remains for to which 1 ambition become extinct bring offagain? The label Triceratops was attributed to the three-horned dinosaur in 1889 by Othniel C. Marsh. It wasn't until 3 annuals after, that the name Torosaurus came to be, and in the dinosaur world, it's he-who-is-first-named that remains. That's bad news for Torosaurus, merely nice news as admirers of three trumpets everywhere.
