But it was when Helena was photographed in a Forties-style Lisa Larsson tea dress earlier this year that the designer was really catapulted into the fashion spotlight. She has designed a pioneering technique which allows the wearer to gather seams to best fit their own body - and eschews trend-led pieces in favour of pretty, simple styles with a hint of decadence. "My parents are both Swedish and moved to the UK in the Seventies," she explains. "I think that I still have a strong Swedish influence in my style in that the look is quite clean and not too fussy. The emphasis is more on cut and details than making a huge avant garde statement."
