--Dr. Anthony Galea was indicted on smuggling charges by a federal grand jury in Buffalo on Thursday, meaning that Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Santana Moss jersey might eventually have to testify in his case.
McINTOSH STILL IN DOUBT
Davis, however, has all but disappeared from the passing game under offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. He has only three receptions and has been targeted by quarterback Donovan McNabb only four times in five games.
Tight end Fred Davis was the Redskins best offensive weapon during the second half of last season, finishing with six touchdowns and 509 receiving yards after Chris Cooley was sidelined for half the year with a broken leg.
The Redskins, meanwhile, are totally confident Santana Moss jersey' availability will not be affected by this matter.
Inside linebacker Rocky McIntosh (concussion) did not practice yesterday because he was not cleared by a doctor.
Santana Moss jersey told teammates last spring that he was treated by Galea three times, but he never knowingly was administered HGH.
A neutral evaluation is required by new NFL guidelines regarding concussions. Meanwhile, McIntosh ran and lifted weights yesterday.
Moss may testify in doctor's trial
"He has a chance [of playing tomorrow] if the doctors clear him," Shanahan said.
If Santana Moss jersey has to testify, the details of his relationship with Galea might be publicized. And if it is proven that Santana Moss jersey put into his body a substance banned by the NFL, he could face a four-game suspension.
He hasn't been ruled out of Sunday's game against Indianapolis, though. He'll visit a doctor that's not employed by the team to get a final evaluation today or tomorrow, coach Mike Shanahan said.
Regarding his availability to the Redskins in the short-term, though,MLB Jerseys, it's fairly safe to assume that the NFL wouldn't take any action against players until the legal process with Galea has played out, and that could be a while. No date has been set for his trial.
DAVIS A FORGOTTEN MAN?
"There are no athletes charged with criminal activity," U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul Jr. told the Buffalo News. "They are viewed as witnesses, rather than as defendants, in this case. Any one of these athletes treated by Dr. Galea could be called as trial witnesses." |
