| Devin Hester Jersey football still available
After the winner of a Devin Hester Jersey autographed football failed to step forward and claim the prize, Illinois Valley residents have another chance to bring home the ball. The United Way of Illinois Valley had 500 plastic miniature footballs thrown into crowds at local high school football games earlier this season, each with a number written on the ball. A winning number was drawn and publicized, but the winner never appeared by the Sept. 30 cut-off date. “Now that number is no longer and we pull another on Sunday,” said Jan Martin,MLB Jerseys, project coordinator. The United Way office is selling tickets for a new raffle for the autographed football in batches of 10 for $10. It all ties in with their “10-10-10” drawing at 10:10 a.m. on Oct. 10, 2010. The new winning number will be posted on the UWIV’s Web site, www.unitedwayiv.org, and broadcast on WLPO 1220 AM.
