| Perry Fewell,NHL Jerseys, Giants defensive coordinator, to interview with Cleveland Browns Jersey for head coaching job
Perry Fewell has accepted an offer to interview with the Cleveland Browns Jersey, just as the San Francisco 49ers dropped out of the chase for the Giants' defensive coordinator. Fewell will interview with Browns officials early next week, according to a source. He already met with the Carolina Panthers on Thursday, and he is scheduled to interview with new Denver Broncos VP John Elway Saturday. Elway also said on a Denver radio station it's a "possibility" he will speak with former Giants coach Jim Fassel about his head coaching vacancy, too. The 49ers, meanwhile, had asked for permission to speak with Fewell about their head coaching vacancy, but that job was filled Thursday when they hired Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh. LEI OFF Shaun O'Hara missed 10 games this season with injuries to his right foot and left Achilles. Now those injuries are going to keep him out of the Pro Bowl, too. The 33-year-old center withdrew from the NFC squad Friday in a move that was expected after a Lisfranc sprain to his right foot and a bone spur in his left ankle ruined his 2010 season. O'Hara will have surgery to remove the spur soon, according to someone familiar with his situation. O'Hara had been selected to the Pro Bowl for the third straight year. He will be replaced on the NFC roster by Panthers center Ryan Kalil. |
