| This month’s Vogue magazine features a fantastic excerpt from Alek Wek’s upcoming book – Alek: From Sudanese Refugee to International Supermodel.,fashion boots
Wek grew up in the war-torn Sudan,womens boots, amidst strife and ongoing conflict,black heels, but since the day she was scouted by a modelling agency while shopping in London, Alek has been an international force on the fashion circuit. Her journey is an amazing one and I really found myself captivated by the small snippet available (about 4-5 pages). Honestly, I don’t expect much from celebrity memoirs,heels 2011, but Wek’s seems not only sincere and compelling,high heels, but also well-written. She makes these really great insights into the ongoing culture shock she faced as a new refugee. They’re cute, but also a poignant reflection on refugee life in Europe.
