Joyce said one of her students was inspired to begin a terracycling program at the school after listening to Potomac's program. The student is collecting chip bags and candy wrappers to have them turned into backpacks, wallets and other items. Students at the conference from Potomac School in McLean and Episcopal High School in Alexandria discussed Earth Day activities. "It's pretty cool," said Ellen Stevens, 13, a member of the St. Stephen's & St. Agnes middle school's environmental club. "It can go pretty far without a charge." The wide variety of topics might not be addressed in many classes,NBA Jerseys, said Jillian Joyce, a history teacher and sustainability coordinator at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School. But the students get the opportunity "to see this extracurricular passion of theirs can lead to more than just a hobby. It can be what they devote their studies and eventually their career to," she said.
