Abstract: Objective To Introduce the principles and the structures of a field aerocyst device for first aid of bone injury, as well as its operative method and precaution. Methods The aerocyst was used as the main fixing component, built in the plastic polymer particles with filter packages as the filler material, accompanied with air extractor devices, and embedded in improved strecher for first aid.Results According to the evaluation criteria of bone injury fixatiion from Chinese Medical Association Orthopedics Branch, the outcomes were listed as follow: excellent in 28, good in 6, and fair in 1 case (s). The total fine (excellent + good) rate was 97%. Conclusion It is suggested that the device is applicable to many bone injuries especially to spine compression fractures for on site first aid. It is easy to be carried, and takes less time to operate. It solves the problem of the limitation and deficiency of the traditional materials. It has a good practice value.
