FRESH from exiting Biba - later two gruelling seasons attempting to reimagine the mark for the modern woman - Bella Freud is back on the form stage with a capsule accumulation as Dover Street Market. "What I love is that it is all open to whichever spontaneous creative collaborations, which is an enjoyable direction to work,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," the designer tells us. "This accumulation was born from an inspiring chat I had with Adrian Joffe [husband of DSM author Rei Kawakubo] and Dickon Bowden [the store's general manager] an daytime in the Rose Bakery above the fourth ground of the store." The six-piece collection consists of black sweaters printed with assorted feline charts, inspired by the way record covers often mix a classic picture with an incongruous backdrop. "I have always been prejudiced to cats and I love cat paintings,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Freud explains. "It corners out that Rei Kawakubo loves cats also. The entire motif was very serendipitous." As well for the DSM collaboration, the designer is preparing to fire her own-name label - which will be modelled in a special sequence of images by Belarus-born artiste and model Elle Muliarchyk - during London Fashion Week. "It is coming by well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Freud confides. "It is phoned Demonstration and is based nigh Paris circa 1968.
