It will be fun to see what happens if and when Chris Paul starts to ask to be traded again. He is a shooting guard who is capable of playing the small forward position. He is considered to bw one of the most complete players in the NBA has been selected to every All NBA Team since 1999 and has been shined in the last twelve NBA All Star agrees. Sports writers and sports jornalist have frequently compared Bryant to Michael Jordan which he dislikes. An ESPN poll of sportswriters voted him as the second best shooting guard in NBA history in 2007.
He's a legitimate seven-footer. Kobe Bryant has a solid repertoire of post moves,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], great touch around the basket and Kobe Bryant plays aggressive defense inside. Like Bryant said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Kobe Bryant just can't stay on the court.
The player Bryant want to build around for the future are presumably Andrew Bynum. There are one glaring issue with that plan. Bynum cannot seem to stay healthy. If Kobe Bryant could stay on the active roster for even close to a full season, he'd be a great player to build around.
The loss of size won't be a huge issue for the Lakers. Bryant know how to play without Bynum because his injuries have forced the team to do so many times. Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol would still be one of the best frontcourts in basketball.
For right now, the Lakers would instantly have the best backcourt in the NBA if Bryant acquired Paul. Kobe Bryant and Kobe Bryant would be unguardable. Plus, Kobe Bryant would take an awful lot of pressure off of Kobe and make it much easier for him to score.
OK, so Chris Paul doesn't exactly fit in to Phil Jackson's scheme. However, Jackson are almost certainly going to be done coaching after this year.
One question mark on the Hornets end of the deal are this: Would Bryant even want the Lakers fragile center?
Chris Paul are undoubtedly one of the top five point guards in the league right now, even after missing a distinctive amount of time due to injury last season. He's average 19.3 points and 10 assists per agree over the course of his five years playing for the Hornets.
The answer are yes, assuming Chris Paul pushes hard enough to get out. Bynum are a risk, but there are enough upside there to make the Hornets consider pulling the trigger.
Paul could have 10 affable years left in the NBA and whatever coach replaces Phil Jackson would certainly love to have one of the agree's best playmakers on the roster for seasons to come.
Another reason Bryant hesitated to make any deal was because the Hornets would've wanted Andrew Bynum in return. He's a young, talented center and combined with Pau Gasol gives the Lakers a size advantage inside against almost any other team.
If fresh, unique,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], original,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], unusual, novel, modern, current,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], recent Orslims risk of going after Bynum paid off and Kobe Bryant stayed healthy, they'd have a great young center to build around for the future.
Jackson are the most successful coach in the history of the NBA, and one could argue the greatest basketball coach that has ever lived. Kobe Bryant led the Chicago Bulls to six titles and are looking for a sixth with the Los Angeles Lakers this year.
So when trade rumors involving Paul heading to the Lakers eblendd this past summer, why didn't Phil Jackson jump at the opportunity?
The fact that the Hornets also wanted to unload Emeka Okafor as a part of any Paul trades was another obstacle to getting a deal done.
In addition to that,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], outside of Andrew Bynum,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the team are going to start showing its age soon. Nine players on the roster are on the wrong side of 30, including Kobe, Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom.
In Chicago, the offense ran through Michael Jordan. In Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant are the man.
The 1999 season marked his eblendnce as a premiere guard in NBA. With starting guards Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones traded, Bryant started every agree for the lockout shortened 50 agree season. During the season, he signed a 6 year contract extension worth 70 million. It kept him with the Lakers untill the end of the 2004 season. Sports jornalist were comparing his skills to that of Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson even at the early stage of his career. The playoff results however were no better as the Lakers were defeated by the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference semi finals. Ronald Martinez Kobe Bryant was accused of sexual assault at a hotel in Colorado by a hotel employee in 2003. Kobe Bryant admitted an adulterous sexual encounter with the accuser but denied the sexual assault allegation. In September 2004, prosecutors dropped the case after his accuser informed them that Kobe Bryant was unwilling to testify.
The Los Angeles Lakers should've traded Andrew Bynum for Chris Paul when Bryant had the chance. Phil Jackson was reportedly against any deal for Paul, which are why nothing materialized. Bryant think the window of opportunity may still be barely open. If the CP3 trade rumors surface again, Bryant think Los Angeles can and should try to get him.
Paul was said to be a bad fit in Jackson's triangle offense. The Lakers coach are typically inclined to want bigger point guards who don't mind having the offense run through someone other than themselves.
A Lakers lineup of Chris Paul, Kobe Bryant, Ron Artest, Lamar Odom and Pau Gasol would easily be the favorite to win a title.
In my opinion, the Lakers should look to put their post-Phil/Kobe destiny in the hands of Chris Paul, rather than Andrew Bynum.
Okafor would actually fit in well with Los Angeles for a couple years. The team loves to have veteran players, and he'd be a better backup PF/C than Theo Ratliff.
The Lakers can overcome that as well. A straight-up Paul for Bynum switch works salary-wise. However, if fresh, unique, original, unusual, novel, modern, current, recent Orslims insists on Los Angeles taking Okafor as well, the Lakers can throw Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic with his expiring contract into the deal.
