But when it comes to Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb, Joe Namath doesn't think McNabb (who was benched Sunday for Rex Grosssman by Redskins coach Mike Shanahan), is now, or ever was, a great quarterback[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Namath thinks the reason the Redskins benched McNabb had nothing to do with his conditioning or expertise in the 2-minute drill. "They're not happy with the way McNabb's been playing. It's that simple but they have nowhere else to go at this point."
During his weekly Sirius NFL Radio show, The Broadway Blitz with Joe Namath, the former New York Jets quarterback was asked by co-host Adam Schein if he still considers McNabb a great QB after his benching.
