FOR the first time in five years,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], new designers will be added to Manhattan's Fashion Walk of Fashion on Seventh Avenue - home already to tributes to some of America's leading design luminaries,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Bill Blass and Geoffry Beene - in 2008. Four living and four deceased designers were awarded the honour annually between 2000 and 2002 before the practice was stopped, as the organisers feared they would run out of designers eligible for the award. Recipients have to be American designers with a show room in New York - and at least ten years in business. Now 114 fashion industry experts have been sent ballot papers to vote for next year's recipients, who will be limited to one living and one deceased designer,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], WWD reports.
