Report: Ailing Ravens S [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] to start season on PUP list
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]'s return from a torn hip muscle won't begin in Baltimore's Sept. 13 opener against the New York Jets.
NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports that the six-time Pro Bowl defensive back will start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list after not participating during the preseason.
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 31,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], said in an interview on Sirius Radio that recovery from his reconstructive hip surgery in May would be a "year-long process."
"It's a four to six month process to getting yourself back to 100 percent, to get yourself in shape to start working out for a season... I don't want to come back too early, man, and injure myself again," he said.
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]'s likely replacement is Tom Zbikowski, a second-year pro who has started four games in the NFL.
