THE London College of Fashion's MA students presented their graduate collections on Thursday night during a suitably chic show in the Royal Academy of Arts that had front rowers Mrs B,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Giles Deacon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Betty Jackson and Harold Tillman thinking they'd turned up in Bedlam. A straggly haired woman shook and yelped in a tiny glass box in the entrance hall and after gingerly sidling past her,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the audience really got the heebie geebies when the show – entitled Asylum - began with a terrifying menagerie of catcalls and insane screams as models swathed in cream swaddling meandered over the square catwalk with long dark hair covering their faces – just like the scariest scenes in The Ring horror. Once we got our confidence back and uncovered our eyes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], highlights of the show included some sharp tailoring from Bert Clayton, wonderfully colourful creations merging futuristic shapes and regal authority from Julia Kroener, pretty ribboned dresses from Peggy Housett and clever basket dresses and corsets from Umar.
