even if you can’t enjoy it.
WALKING into Paul Smith's curiosity shop feels like finding Narnia at the back of your wardrobe – you are inclined to stand and stare in awe before realising you're still in Mayfair, recomposing yourself and browsing with earnest. It's a magical W1 pocket of discovery that holds a globe-full of imagination and creativity. Just watch Paul leap onto the 50-year-old wooden horse (that started life in Anderson & Shepherd – the Saville Row tailor where McQueen trained - for men to test the wearabilty of their (then non-stretch) britches). "This is the piece I was most sad to sell,Hire a Writer For All Your Business Writing Needs_2279," says Paul. "It's off to America and I'm really going to miss it." His excitement is infectious – and if you haven't yet experienced the shop,womens Timberland, further temptation is caused by the new button exhibition,Alife Court Cup Shoes, on in the Albermarle Street store until November 26. Funny how Smithy can make something as apparently banal as a button central to all things creative isn't it? See an original ink signature from Elsa Schiaparelli on one glazed disc. "That," says Paul, "is the world's first piece of fashion branding." So much more than just a logo – and with original Givenchy buttons just across the way, this suddenly becomes a fashion history lesson. An expert in so many fields,cheap louboutin boots, Smith's obsession with buttons is just one of the reasons you're as likely as not to find yourself browsing alongside him. "I love it in here,discount louboutin shoes," he says. "I can hardly stay away. But my team keep calling me back to the office to remind me that I have about 14 collections to design."
