Ryan Miller was born on 17th July 1980. He is an American ice hockey goaltender and is currently playing for the Buffalo Sabres of the National Hockey League NHL. He was selected to play for the US hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympic Games ice hockey game in Vancouver Canada in the position of starting goaltender. Ryan Miller won a silver medal with the team and was named most valuable player of the tournament. He would win the Vezina Trophy as the best goaltender in the last NHL season. Ryan Miller is known for his hybrid style of goaltending and is also the older brother of current Detroit Red Wings winger Drew Miller. Jeff Gross After the 2006 season, Miller became a restricted free agent and waived his right to arbitration. Mike Liut, Miller agent, continued to negotiate with the Sabres through the summer. On 8th Sept 2006 the Sabres announced that they have resigned Miller to a 3 year contract.
